Family Pictures

Well, we took some family pictures with the intention of mailing out christmas cards, but.....well the cards we mail out might be valentine's day cards! The pictures are taken at the Leonardtown Wharf. Behind us is the Potomac River. So scenic :)

Church Christmas Party

Ireland was bright and chipper at the beginning of the night wearing her rudolph nose with her friend Wade from preschool. Ireland crashed pretty fast though and she ended up falling asleep on those hard church chairs! This time of year we all get so exhausted from all the parties. I guess she was partied out!

Bike Ride in the middle of December!

The kids also had on their "list" to go on a bike ride so on Christmas Eve Jamie went with the older ones while I stayed in the neighborhood with the little ones. The weather has been sooo beautiful! It was great that they could go out on Christmas Eve!

kids in charge day!

we have been doing "kids in charge" for the three years now and the kids just love "being in charge". I guess it is officially December 22. Most of the time they use it to play video games ALL day. We tried to tell them this year that they could do anything....go out to eat, go to the movies, anything! They were content to have breakfast in bed, play games and have friends over! We played "Just Dance" upstairs in our room and , i guess that was a mistake because the kitchen ceiling now has a crack from where we were dancing upstairs! oops! we quickly moved the wii and tv down to the basement! :)

Monster!

After we went ice skating we took the kids out to lunch...at golden corral! This golden corral had a chocolate fountain at the dessert bar! the kids couldn't get enough! they were dipping marshmallows, strawberries, rice crispy treat, and macaroons! I'm not even sure if they had lunch....just dessert! When we went outside after lunch the boys saw this huge monster truck and Jamie couldn't resist taking a picture of the kids! Ireland is just about the same size as the tire!

Ice Skating!

When Christmas break started we sat down with the kids to make a list of all the things they wanted to do during break. Ice skating was high on the list for everyone....except Keean :) We all ended up going and towards the end Keean was skating without holding on to the wall! Good job everyone!

"Holiday" Celebrations!

The kids all had their holiday celebrations on two different days. I was able to help at Aedan's and then go right into Keean's parties. They were a lot of fun. Aedan's party was more mellow because, well, they are 5th graders :) They are starting to get too cool for this stuff! Keean's party, on the other hand, was such a raucous! It was full of excitement :) They did Gingerbread houses, and played "minute to win it" games. I even got voted in to try a game. I do pretty good when I am competing with 1st graders :) Ireland had a singing program to do while Harrison had his party, so I went to Ireland's and Jamie went to Harrison's party.....I don't know where his pictures are, but I know Jamie took some....He always take pictures :) Like mother like....son! :) I'll find some and post them. Ireland was such a great little dancer in her program. She was so calm and collected and didn't miss a beat!
